Product description

Transparent PUR hot melt adhesive in cartridges is intended for high-quality furniture edge banding. The adhesive is intended for Holz-Her edge-banding machines.

Examples of use:

  • gluing ABS edges with primer
  • gluing laminate edges
  • gluing veneer edges
  • gluing PVC and PP edges
  • solid wood lippings

Characteristics:

Transparent PUR hot melt adhesive Jowatherm 608.00 is suitable for gluing edges using Holz-Her edge-banding machines with PUR technology, except for the Glue Jet system. This edge-banding method creates a joint with high resistance to water and heat. The adhesive is also available in white colour (Jowatherm 608.01).

Application:

When using the hot melt adhesive, observe the application temperature and check it on a regular basis by measuring on the roller or nozzle. The temperature shown on the edge‑banding machine control panel may differ from the actual temperature. Lower temperature of the adhesive may affect its open time and consequently impair the bonded joint quality. At a higher temperature, the adhesive may degrade, which affects its colour, viscosity and adhesion. When banding edges from various materials, regular testing of banding strength and quality is advisable. Recommended temperature of the environment and materials is 15–25°C.

Clean any residual uncured adhesive on furniture elements using Hraniclean 01 (08). In glue pots use Jowat 930.94.

For additional information please refer to the material technical and safety data sheets.

Packaging and storage:

Keep in original container. If stored in closed containers in a cold and dry place at temperatures not exceeding 20°C, the shelf life is 12 months.
